Porkbun Setup Guide
Porkbun uses a straightforward JSON API. You only need an API key and secret key—no IP whitelisting or long approval windows.
Step 1: Enable API Access
Generate a key + secret pair inside the Porkbun dashboard
- Sign in to your Porkbun account
- Navigate to Account → API Access
- Click "Create API Key"
- Copy both the API key and secret key immediately
Step 2: Add Credentials in Domain Collective
Enter the key pair exactly as provided by Porkbun
- API Key: paste the value labelled "API key"
- Secret API Key: paste the longer secret value
Porkbun shows each value only once. Store them in a password manager if you plan to reuse the credentials.
Step 3: Trigger the Initial Sync
Start syncing domains, DNS records, and nameservers
After saving the credentials, Domain Collective immediately kicks off a background sync. You can monitor the status from the Integrations page.
- Sync usually finishes in under a minute
- Manual sync is always available if you make changes later
